Andrea Noia

Director of Mission & Strategy

Andrea Noia is Director of Mission and Strategy of the Italian Movement for Prisoners' Rights (Movimento Italiano Diritti Detenuti), which he helped promote and inspire from the very first day.

He brings to the Movement's work a direct experience of deprivation of liberty, between 2020 and 2024, when he was editor-in-chief of Carte Bollate and led the joint self-government committees. This knowledge from the inside enriches his commitment to rethinking justice, including through technology, and to the rights of everyone, starting with people in prison. He is also National Coordinator of GFSN Italia, the Italian branch of the international Global Freedom Scholars Network.

He has always fought for civil and political rights, already active in the early 2000s in the Genoa Social Forum and in the international movements for «another world is possible».

He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Sapienza University of Rome, an MBA with distinction from IE Instituto de Empresa in Madrid and, since 2025, a degree in International Politics, Law and Economics from the University of Milan.

He has a long international career in consulting and digital transformation behind him, with senior roles at Citigroup in London and Milan, at Telvent/Schneider Group between Milan and Zurich, and at CBRE Italy.
