How it works
The ZeroMail cycle
The inmate writes the letter:
entrusts their thoughts to paper and the will to stay connected to those on the outside.
Daily collection:
the ZeroMail staff collects the letters every day, scans them securely, and uploads them to the protected platform.
Families receive and reply by email:
the letter arrives immediately in digital format, they can reply with one click keeping communication alive.
Immediate printing:
the platform quickly transforms the digital reply into a new paper letter, to be delivered to the inmate that same day.
The commitment to employment inside prison.
In the facilities that allow it, ZeroMail is committed to hiring an inmate on a regular employment contract.
The employee is responsible for scanning the letters and sending the emails using the equipment provided by ZeroMail, which ensures secure access to the software required for the procedure.
In this way, ZeroMail contributes to creating jobs inside prison and to the digital literacy of the inmate who is hired.

How to activate it
Contact the ZeroMail representative inside the facility.
The inmate can activate the service by contacting the ZeroMail representatives in their facility. Once activated, registered family members will immediately start receiving letters by email.
Authorized operators
A service in collaboration with penitentiary institutions
ZeroMail operates officially within Italian prisons, in compliance with DAP regulations. Every letter is handled by authorized staff, with daily delivery and collection.
