Who can use it
Three situations, one single path.
Families and operators:
who support the inmate in completing the petition, from data collection to submission to the Court.
People under house arrest:
even those serving their sentence outside prison can request early release for every six months.
People on probation with social services:
the period spent under social services counts toward the reduction. Every six months of probation can be computed.
Following the Constitutional Court ruling no. 201/2025 (filed on December 29, 2025), early release can once again be requested on a semester-by-semester basis, as originally provided, overcoming the limitations introduced by the Nordio reform.
