The Italian Movement for Prisoners' Rights (Movimento Italiano Diritti Detenuti) is a recognised association registered with the RUNTS, Italy's national register of third-sector organisations. On this page we publish the data and the documents that let anyone verify it.

Governing bodies
The Board of Directors, appointed on 20 April 2026 and confirmed on 16 July 2026, remains in office until the approval of the financial statements to 31 December 2028.

Members
The founding members of the Movimento Italiano Diritti Detenuti are Giulia Troncatti and Alberto Maria Genovese, who funds the association. The deed of 20 April 2026 was signed by Giulia Troncatti with Simone Bongiorni and Stefano Renolfi, co-founding members and directors. With the transformation of 16 July 2026, Marina Beraha, Pasquale Bombino, Andrea Noia, Valeria Claudia Orlando, Martina Piazza, Angelo Riccio Loffredo, Sally Lia Viganò and the Fondazione Laura e Alberto Genovese joined as co-founding members. The designations are those of the RUNTS.

Financial statements
The first financial year closes on 31 December 2026. The financial statements will be published on this page and filed with the RUNTS within the legal deadlines.
How we are funded
The Movimento Italiano Diritti Detenuti is funded by its founding member Alberto Maria Genovese and by the Fondazione Laura e Alberto Genovese, a co-founding member. It receives no public funding, is not accredited for the 5 per mille and charges no fees to people in prison or their families for the services it offers.
